The Take Ten Challenge (5/19/24)

Thank you for taking the Take Ten Challenge! See how the MFD community came together this past week in a beautiful way. We called for all hands on deck to write postcards for three school board campaigns and you showed up. The challenge encouraged writers to add an emoji of their choice to the thread in the #announcements-about-mfd channel for every ten postcards they wrote for the school board campaigns from our postcard portal, Postcards For Democracy. Instead of fretting about terrible polls from The New York Times, we buckled down and did the meaningful work. We put our heads down, used our Sharpies, and then added broccoli, rainbows, and even Snoopy. We focused on these communities in New York and Georgia and sent thousands of postcards to turn out the vote to beat the Moms For Liberty inspired/MAGA candidates running for school board races there. No matter the results (the elections are on Tuesday), we can be proud of the community we have built and the work that we do every day to save our democracy!
