SPEAKERS
Markers For Democracy hosts speakers during our regular weekday morning postcarding sessions, as well as during special evening and weekend events. All of our events have been virtual since the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling us to host and have access to speakers from all over the country.
Candidates
To learn about the issues facing our country and to directly support candidates, Markers For Democracy has hosted well over 150 Democratic candidates from around the country. While our original meetings were held in person around the farm table at a New York City Le Pain Quotidien, Zoom has allowed us to expand our scope and hear from a wide array of politicians from near and far.

Our guests have included candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, state legislatures, city and local government, judgeships, and more. On the national front, our visitors have included Senators John Hickenlooper, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer; Representatives Antonio Delgado, Jahana Hayes, Andy Kim, Lucy McBath, Katie Porter, Haley Stevens, and Lauren Underwood; and many wonderful candidates who lost their close races in swing districts in 2020. This list is always changing as we schedule new visits on an ongoing basis.
We are based in New York City, and since 2021 was a big year for local elections, we hosted many of the candidates for New York City Mayor, City Council, Comptroller, Borough President, District Attorney, and Public Advocate.
Grassroots Organizations
We host founders and leaders of a variety of grassroots organizations, including those focused on candidate recruitment and support, voter registration, college student and youth voting, environmental and social justice, and rural voters.
