PHONE AND TEXT BANKING
Markers For Democracy continues to focus on writing postcards to voters, and has expanded our activism to include other forms of outreach, including phone and text banking.
Phone Banks
During the run up to the 2020 Presidential Election, we hosted a weekly phone bank focused on swing states, including training, pro tips, and camaraderie. We continually share opportunities for other critical phone banks in our weekly newsletter.
Text Banks
We organized text banks to contact NYC residents about responding to the 2020 Census. We also participated in multiple swing state candidate text banks in the run up to the 2020 Elections and Georgia Runoffs. And we texted California voters in 2021 to stop the Governor recall. We promote text bank opportunities for candidates in other critical elections and voter registration drives in 2022 and beyond.
